Ketogenic diets are used to manage some conditions (e.g., drug-resistant epilepsy), and their potential for managing many other conditions (e.g., cancer) is being actively explored.

Who can take part
Ages 18 and older. Healthy volunteers may be eligible.
You may be able to join if
- Age: \>18 years
- Body mass index: 18.5-35 kg m-2
- Low-Density Lipoprotein-cholesterol \<4.9 mmol/L
- Non-fasting triglycerides \<2.3 mmol/L
You likely can't join if
- weight instability (\>5% change in body mass within last 3 months)
- smoker
- diagnosis of hypercholesterolaemia or any other lipid-related disease
- diagnosis of diabetes
- diagnosis of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
- elevated fasting glucose (\>5.4 mmol/L)

- Non-fasting triglycerides \<2.3 mmol/L
- weight instability (\>5% change in body mass within last 3 months)

- diagnosis of diabetes
- diagnosis of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
- elevated fasting glucose (\>5.4 mmol/L)
- dietary intolerances or allergies or to other study procedures
- diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders
- any other condition/medication that could introduce bias to the study
- already following a ketogenic diet
- not willing to follow a ketogenic diet
- unable to understand English language
