Recruiting PHASE2 Advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

New treatment option for Advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

Official title VSV-IFNβ-NIS With Ipilimumab and Nivolumab for the Treatment of Advanced or Metastatic Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT07510334

What this study is testing

What is Ipilimumab?

Ipilimumab is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Also referred to as Anti-Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte-Associated Antigen-4 Monoclonal Antibody, BMS 734016.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase II trial tests adding VSV-IFNβ-NIS to standard of care ipilimumab and nivolumab for the treatment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced) or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). A virus modified in the laboratory, such as VSV-IFNβ-NIS, may be able to kill tumor cells without damaging normal cells.
