Recruiting PHASE2 Digital Ulcers in Systemic Sclerosis

Tests treatment safety and results for Digital Ulcers in Systemic Sclerosis

Official title Safety and Tolerability of TOP-N53 Applied on Digital Ulcers in Patients With Systemic Sclerosis

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06954597

What this study is testing

What is TOP-N53?

TOP-N53 is an investigational medicine, given as a treatment applied to the skin, being studied as a potential treatment for digital ulcers in systemic sclerosis.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
The main goal of this clinical trial is to learn about how safe the new drug TOP-N53 solution is when it is applied to open wounds on the fingertip (digital ulcers) in people with an uncommon illness that results in hard, thickened areas of skin and additional problems with internal organs and blood vessels (systemic sclerosis). Another goal is to learn if different strengths of TOP-N53 can treat certain aspects of the illness.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
  • You might receive a placebo (an inactive treatment) instead of the study drug.
