New treatment option for Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma
Official title Cemiplimab and Fianlimab Before Surgery for the Treatment of Stage IB-IIIB Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06918132
What this study is testing
What is Cemiplimab?
Cemiplimab is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for lung non-small cell carcinoma.
Also referred to as Cemiplimab RWLC, Cemiplimab-rwlc.
Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.
- What it's testing
- This phase II trial tests how well a fixed dose combination (FDC) of cemiplimab and fianlimab before surgery (neoadjuvant) works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The current standard of care (SOC) for NSCLC is to give chemotherapy and immunotherapy before going to surgery to have the cancer removed (neoadjuvant therapy).
- Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
- Time commitment: about 5 years
