ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06546397

What this study is testing

What is 17β-estradiol/dydrogesterone tablets?

17β-estradiol/dydrogesterone tablets is an investigational medicine, given as an once-daily pill taken by mouth, being studied as a potential treatment for pregnancy complications.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
Induced abortion is a common method to terminate pregnancy, but during the operation, it is necessary to dilate the cervix and aspirate the uterine cavity. Repeated induced abortions may increase the risk of uterine damage, leading to cervical stenosis or intrauterine adhesions, thinning of the endometrium, which may affect the implantation of fertilized eggs and the development of embryos, and ultimately may lead to infertility or miscarriage.
