Recruiting PHASE3 Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma

New treatment option for Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma

Official title Immunotherapy After Surgery for People Who Have No Remaining Cancer Cells After Standard Treatment for Early-Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, INSIGHT Trial

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06498635

What this study is testing

What is Durvalumab?

Durvalumab is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for lung non-small cell carcinoma.

Also referred to as Imfinzi, Immunoglobulin G1, Anti-(Human Protein B7-H1) (Human Monoclonal MEDI4736 Heavy Chain), Disulfide with Human Monoclonal MEDI4736 Kappa-chain, Dimer.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase III trial compares durvalumab to the usual approach (patient observation) after surgery for the treatment of patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
