Recruiting PHASE2 Endometrial Cancer

New treatment option for Endometrial Cancer

Official title ALPINE: Maintenance Letrozole/Abemaciclib

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06366347

What this study is testing

What is Abemaciclib?

Abemaciclib is an investigational medicine, given as a pill taken by mouth, being studied as a potential treatment for endometrial cancer.

Also referred to as Verzenio, LY2835219.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
The purpose of this research study is to see if the study drugs abemaciclib and letrozole are effective and safe for participants with estrogen-receptor positive (ER+), mismatch repair proficient, tumor protein p53 (TP53) wild-type endometrial cancer. The names of the study drugs involved in this study are: Abemaciclib (a type of cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor) Letrozole (a type of aromatase inhibitor)
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
  • Time commitment: about 2 years
