Recruiting PHASE4 Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

New treatment option for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

Official title Subcutaneous Infliximab After A Previous Intravenous Dose Optimization

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT06113913

What this study is testing

What is Infliximab?

Infliximab is an investigational medicine, given as an once-weekly injection under the skin, being studied as a potential treatment for inflammatory bowel diseases.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the treatment with subcutaneous infliximab in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that were previously treated with an optimized dose of intravenous infliximab. The main question it aims to answer is: \- Is switching to a weekly dose of subcutaneous infliximab (120 mg) associated with a better outcome compared to the standard fortnightly administration of 120 mg subcutaneous infliximab in patients who received an optimized intravenous dosing schedule?
  • Phase 4: studies an already-approved treatment
  • Which group you join is decided by chance.
