Recruiting PHASE2 Cholangiocarcinoma

New treatment option for Cholangiocarcinoma

Official title A Single-Arm Study of Pembrolizumab With Gemcitabine and Cisplatin as Perioperative Therapy for Potentially Resectable Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05967182

What this study is testing

What is Pembrolizumab?

Pembrolizumab is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for cholangiocarcinoma.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
To find out if adding pembrolizumab to standard of care chemotherapy drugs (cisplatin and gemcitabine) will improve long-term response of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma after surgery, compared to treatment with surgery and standard chemotherapy alone.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
