- Scheduled for elective major robot-assisted colorectal surgeries

- Inability to give informed consent
- planned spinal or epidural anaesthesia
- all forms of regional anaesthesia, including wound infiltration
- nonelective procedures
- pregnancy or lactation
- atrial fibrillation
