Recruiting PHASE1, PHASE2 Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma

New treatment option for Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma

Official title Split Course Adaptive Radiation Therapy With Pembrolizumab With/Without Chemotherapy for Treating Stage IV Lung Cancer

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05501665

What this study is testing

What is Carboplatin?

Carboplatin is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for lung non-small cell carcinoma.

Also referred to as Blastocarb, Carboplat.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase I/II trial tests the safety and efficacy of split-course adaptive radiation therapy in combination with immunotherapy with or without chemotherapy for the treatment of patients with stage IV lung cancer or lung cancer that that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced). Radiation therapy is a standard cancer treatment that uses high energy rays to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
  • Time commitment: about 2 years
