Recruiting PHASE1 Von Willebrand Disease, Type 3

New treatment option for Von Willebrand Disease, Type 3

Official title Emicizumab for Severe Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) and VWD/Hemophilia A

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05500807

What this study is testing

What is Emicizumab?

Emicizumab is an investigational medicine, given as an once-weekly injection under the skin, being studied as a potential treatment for von willebrand disease, type 3.

Also referred to as Hemlibra.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) is the most common inherited bleeding disorder affecting up to 0.1% of the population, is usually characterized by mucocutaneous bleeding, HMB, surgical bleeding or other hemostatic challenges. Severe bleeding events require VWF concentrates administered solely through intravenous access.
