Recruiting PHASE2 Chronic Cluster Headache

New treatment option for Chronic Cluster Headache

Official title LSD to Improve Cluster Headache Impact Trial

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT05477459

What this study is testing

What is LSD tartrate?

LSD tartrate is an investigational medicine, given as an injection under the skin, being studied as a potential treatment for chronic cluster headache.

Also referred to as Lysergic acid diethylamide.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of LSD 25μg every 3 days for 3 weeks versus placebo in the treatment of chronic cluster headache (cCH). It is a 3-week double-blind placebo-controlled intervention study, preceded by a 4-week baseline observation period and followed by a 5-week post-treatment observation period.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
  • You might receive a placebo (an inactive treatment) instead of the study drug, decided by chance. You may not know which one you got.
