Recruiting PHASE2 Stage III Lung Cancer AJCC v8

New treatment option for Stage III Lung Cancer AJCC v8

Official title Local Consolidative Therapy and Durvalumab for Oligoprogressive and Polyprogressive Stage III NSCLC After Chemoradiation and Anti-PD-L1 Therapy

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT04892953

What this study is testing

What is Carboplatin?

Carboplatin is an investigational medicine, given as an infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for stage iii lung cancer ajcc v8.

Also referred to as Blastocarb, Carboplat.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase II trial finds out the effect of local consolidative therapy and durvalumab in treating patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer that has 3 or fewer lesions of progression (oligoprogressive) and greater than 3 lesions of progression (polyprogressive) after chemoradiation and anti-PD-l1 therapy. Local consolidative therapy, such as surgery and/or radiation, after initial treatment may kill any remaining tumor cells.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
