Recruiting PHASE1 Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG)

New treatment option for Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG)

Official title ONC206 for Treatment of Newly Diagnosed, Recurrent Diffuse Midline Gliomas, and Other Recurrent Malignant CNS Tumors

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT04732065

What this study is testing

What is ONC206?

ONC206 is an investigational medicine, given as an once-daily infusion into a vein, being studied as a potential treatment for diffuse midline glioma (dmg).

Also referred to as antagonist of dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) /human mitochondrial caseinolytic protease P (ClpP)ClpP Agonist, DRD2 antagonist/ClpP agonist.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase I trial studies the effects and best dose of ONC206 alone or in combination with radiation therapy in treating patients with diffuse midline gliomas that is newly diagnosed or has come back (recurrent) or other recurrent primary malignant CNS tumors. ONC206 is a recently discovered compound that may stop cancer cells from growing.
  • Phase 1: an early, usually small safety study
  • Time commitment: about 5 years
