Compares treatment options for Acute Coronary Syndrome
Official title Ticagrelor With Low-dose Versus Regular Aspirin in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) at High-Risk for Ischemia After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT04240834
What this study is testing
What is Aspirin?
Aspirin is an investigational medicine, given as an once-daily, being studied as a potential treatment for acute coronary syndrome.
Also referred to as Acetylsalicylic Acid.
Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.
- What it's testing
- The present study is aimed to compare the safety and efficacy of Ticagrelor with low-dose Aspirin versus standard dual anti-platelet therapy (DAPT) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) at high risk for ischemic events after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and stent implantation.
- Phase 4: studies an already-approved treatment
