Recruiting PHASE2 Anatomic Stage IV Breast Cancer AJCC v8

New treatment option for Anatomic Stage IV Breast Cancer AJCC v8

Official title Testing the Addition of an Individualized Vaccine to Durvalumab and Tremelimumab and Chemotherapy in Patients With Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer

ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT03606967

What this study is testing

What is Carboplatin?

Carboplatin is an investigational medicine, given as an injection under the skin, being studied as a potential treatment for anatomic stage iv breast cancer ajcc v8.

Also referred to as Blastocarb, Carboplat.

Plain-language explanation of the investigational treatment - it is being studied and is not an approved or proven therapy. The study team can confirm the details.

What it's testing
This phase II trial studies how well nab-paclitaxel, durvalumab, and tremelimumab with or without personalized synthetic long peptide vaccine (neoantigen vaccine) works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs, such as nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.
  • Phase 2: a mid-size study of how well it works
  • Time commitment: about 18 weeks
  • Which group you join is decided by chance.
